Considerations for Selecting Degree This program is designed to prepare individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary for employment as a medical coder.  It is designed for the student who desires to obtain training in International Classification of Diseases Clinical Modification (ICD), medical coding, and insurance billing.

Associate Transfer Degree Completion Students who transfer with a completed Associate degree will be awarded SDV 100 and will have their transcript evaluated for other individual course transfer. Students who transfer with a completed Bachelor degree from a U.S. college or university will be awarded SDV 100, ENG 111 and ENG 112. The transcript will be evaluated for other individual course transfer.
