Welcome to Online VCCS, a Service owned by Education & Career Compass ("us", "we" or "our") and operated on behalf of the Virginia Community College System (VCCS ) via online.vccs.edu, "Site".

Description of Services

Online VCCS enables current and potential community college students to discover, explore, and enroll in online programs and courses offered across any of the 23 community colleges in Virginia. This platform offers online, affordable education, making it even easier to go to college and pursue a meaningful career – no matter where the student resides in Virginia.

Access to and Use of Service

This platform is offered to you conditioned on your acceptance, without modification, of the terms, conditions and notices ("Terms") contained within the Site. Your use of this platform constitutes your agreement to these Terms. Please review these Terms carefully and from time to time, so you will be aware of any changes. As long as you abide by these Terms, Education & Career Compass grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited privilege to use this Service.

As a condition of your use of this Service, you warrant to Education & Career Compass that you will not use the Service for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms. You may not use the Service or Site in any manner that could damage, disable or impair the Service or Site, or interfere with any other party's use of the Service or Site. You may not obtain or attempt to obtain any materials or information through any means not intentionally made available through the Service or Site to you.

You will not modify, publish, transmit, reverse engineer, create derivative works or in any way exploit any of the content and functions, in whole or in part, found on the Site. You will use the content and functionality of the site solely for your personal use and will make no other use of Site content, features and functionality without the express written permission of Education & Career Compass, Inc, and the copyright owner, as applicable.

Your use of this platform is subject to Education & Career Compass' privacy policy that governs the Service and this Site, and informs you of our data collection, usage and security practices.

By use of this site, you agree to receive electronic communications and you agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, disclaimers, and other communications we provide electronically, via email and on the Site, satisfy legal agreements that such communications be in writing.

The Service and its features and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Education & Career Compass and its licensors. The site functions and design, including the web pages and any software used for the Service and the Site, are the property of Education & Career Compass or its suppliers and protected by copyright and other intellectual property and proprietary rights. All site content and data, including logos are the property of the Virginia Community College System.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms.

The information, software products and services included or available through the Service may include inaccuracies, or typographical errors. Changes are periodically made to the information contained within the Service. Education & Career Compass and/or its suppliers may make improvements and/or changes to the Service at any time.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our Service and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have had between us regarding the Service.

Changes

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. The most current version of the Terms, when posted on this Site, will supersede all previous versions.

By continuing to access or use our Service after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you are no longer authorized to use the Service.
