ENGL250: Shaping Lang: Creative Writ

Alongside broad reading, students focus on the abstract concepts and concrete skills creative writers use to observe and express their personal experience of the world. Through exposure, investigation, and production of texts, students have the opportunity to engage with the primary genres of creative writing: poetry, creative prose, and dramatic writing. Each student produces a writing portfolio and engages in peer critiques that display understanding of creative writing vocabulary and technique.
