A survey of 20th-century literature, with particular emphasis on Modernist works from between the two World Wars. Through reading, discussing, and writing about selected works, students will gain a greater understanding of various Modernist responses to some of the paradigm shifts that characterized the 20th century. *Prerequisite: English 111 or any 200-level English Literature course, or permission of the instructor.
