BIO140L: Foundations of Biology I Laboratory [C3L]

Students learn the process of science and the basics of experimental design while building scientific writing skills. Students learn foundational techniques of molecular biology (pipetting, DNA extraction, PCR, gel electrophoresis and basic bioinformatics) in the context of a DNA Barcoding project. Students will leave this course with the preparation needed to design their own independent DNA barcoding projects. May be used for general education credit.
