Emphasizes the appreciation and evaluation of theatre in production. The course examines, at the introductory level, the functions of playwrights, actors, directors, and designers in the production process. Students are required to attend several evening performances (which may be extended beyond designated class time) and to view theatre productions on videotape. Lab fee for theatre tickets.
