This is a foundational course that establishes general knowledge about the field of mass media and communication. Students will explore the range of communication methods. Topics include print media, traditional broadcast industries, Internet communications and media regulation. This broad introduction is intended to help students identify their particular interests, and to aid them in choosing elective courses for their major emphasis or minor focus.
